Mamete Prevostini

History of the Estate:
The Mamete Prevostini estate began making wine almost 70 years ago. This winery has always existed under the beautiful, harsh circumstances of its terroir in the Valtellina. The Valtellina, a valley located in Lombardia on the Italian border with Switzerland, is one of the most particular winemaking regions in Italy. Through the centuries its roads have been traveled by many different people, all of whom have left traces of their culture and typical products which are still present today. Wine production is based in Nebbiolo, re-interpreted in a particular, elegant and highly perfumed style. Mamete Prevostini is no exception, offering wines of great elegance, refinement and power. From the most basic Nebbiolo to the most complex Sforzato, Mamete Prevostini is a perfect example of the highest potential for Nebbiolo from the Valtellina.
