Il Quadrifoglio

History of the Estate:
The Il Quadrifoglio estate, whose name means "Four-leaf Clover", is situated in the Doganella di Ninfa territory, an area nestled amongst the Lepini mountains, slightly north-east of Rome. This area is particularly rich in culture and history, having been the land of countless ancient civilizations and religious temples. The winemaking estate itself was founded in 1995 by the DeGregorio family. The goal was simple- to produce the best wines of the highest quality from a part of Italy as of yet undiscovered from an enological point of view. The results however are anything but simple as the Il Quadrifoglio wines are already attracting the favorable attention of Italian wine writers and critics.

Inspired to create wines expressive of the land they love, the DeGregorio family prides itself on creating interesting wines from both international and local grape varieties. Wines like their "Muro Pecoraro" successfully combine the rustic, old-world flavors of Montepulciano, and bring it up to date with the addition of a classic international grape like Cabernet Sauvignon. The Il Quadrifoglio portfolio is exciting and full of limitless potential: these young producers are truly exploring something thrilling and new.
